Big beautiful tropical-looking leaves is what this bamboo brings to the garden! It's a great Hosta substitute since it seems the leaves are too tough for slugs to eat.

We've been very impressed with the cold hardiness of this stunning large-leafed ground cover bamboo.

It has remained evergreen for us here in zone 5b through most winters. Snow cover helps.
