Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Harbin-Inversa'

Maximum height: 30 ft.
(Yet unknown for zone 5)
Maximum diameter: 2 in.
(Yet unknown for zone 5)
Minimum temperature: -10ºF

Digging season -
We have found that the best time to dig species in the Phyllostachys genus is late October to early November.

Being bright yellow with green stripes make this a very ornamental bamboo! New culms can also briefly have streaks of red in full sun during the early summer.

Despite its name, 'Harbin-Inversa' is not a sport of 'Harbin' since it lacks the ridges exhibited by 'Harbin'.

We've noticed that 'Harbin-Inversa' seems to be a faster grower and possibly ever so slightly more wind tolerant than 'Harbin'.
